Description
Jennifer Walters agreed to watch Sakaar for her cousin Bruce for a few days. That was weeks ago. Now she's stuck ruling a war-torn gladiator world with a massive sword and zero understanding of the brutal politics that let the Hulk keep the place in line.
Spinning out of Hickman's Imperial event, the series drops Marvel's gamma-powered attorney into a bloody Game of Thrones situation. Witches, rebels, cannibals, and factions who don't love having an outsider on the throne. Writer Stephanie Phillips handles the character work while Aaron Kuder brings cosmic-scale action.
There's palace intrigue, arena combat, and weirdly enough, Monty Python references. Jennifer's claim to power gets questioned early on because, as it turns out, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords isn't a proper basis for government. Even on an alien planet.
