Sheriff of Babylon (2015)
Set in Baghdad in 2003 in the chaotic aftermath of the American invasion, an ex-police officer turned military consultant named Chris Henry investigates the murder of one of his Iraqi police recruits. Written by Tom King, a former CIA counter-terrorism officer, with art by Mitch Gerads, the 12-issue Vertigo series drew directly on King's own experience serving in Iraq.
