DESCRIPTION

Published in 2001 by DC Comics, 'Joker: Last Laugh' is a six-issue limited series written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty, with art by Pete Woods. The story follows the Joker as he discovers he has a terminal brain tumor. Believing he has nothing to lose, the Joker embarks on a final spree of chaos. He uses a special Joker venom to 'jokerize' other villains, turning them into insane versions of themselves. This leads to widespread chaos across the DC Universe, involving major characters such as Batman, Nightwing, and Oracle. The series explores themes of madness and mortality, culminating in a showdown between the Joker and Batman. The storyline had several tie-ins across various DC titles, making it a significant crossover event. The series received mixed reviews but is notable for its ambitious scope and the exploration of the Joker's psyche.
