A 2001-2002 Avengers storyline by Kurt Busiek and Alan Davis spanning Avengers #41-55 plus an annual. Kang the Conqueror launches his most ambitious assault on Earth, establishing a worldwide conflict that devastates Washington D.C.
The Avengers are forced into a prolonged war against the time-traveling conqueror. The arc is a highlight of the Busiek run.
