Description
Black Manta is Aquaman's most persistent adversary in DC Comics, a deep-sea mercenary and assassin who has maintained a fierce vendetta against the King of Atlantis across decades of stories. Operating in a distinctive armored black diving suit with glowing red lenses, he is an equally dangerous threat both in and out of the water. His origin and motivations have been revised several times, but his capacity for ruthless violence and his strategic cunning have remained consistent defining traits.
