Adam Strange
CharacterDescription
Adam Strange is an Earth archaeologist transported across space to the planet Rann via an alien teleportation device called the Zeta-Beam, first appearing in Showcase #17 in November 1958 and created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Mike Sekowsky. On Rann he defends the planet's civilization armed with a jetpack and ray gun alongside the scientist Sardath and later his wife Alanna. He has appeared across numerous DC titles as a science fiction hero defined by human ingenuity rather than superpowers.
