Dimwit is a Terrytoons character created by Paul Terry, first appearing alongside Heckle and Jeckle in the 1946 short The Talking Magpies as the pet dog of Farmer Al Falfa. He became a recurring foil to the magpies and carried over into Terrytoons comics including Heckle and Jeckle and Mighty Mouse.
