Description

Garth began his career as Aqualad, the teenage sidekick of Aquaman and a founding member of the Teen Titans. Born in Atlantis and abandoned as an infant because his purple eyes were considered a mark of genetic inferiority, he was later rescued and mentored by Aquaman. As an adult, he took the codename Tempest after his abilities shifted from Atlantean aquatic traits to a mastery of Atlantean sorcery, including water manipulation and destructive energy projection from his eyes. He remains a key figure in both the Aquaman and Teen Titans corners of the DC universe.
