Wildman is Harold Shapiro, a rifleman in Easy Company, the World War II infantry unit led by Sgt. Rock in DC's war comics. A history professor from Colorado in civilian life, he is recognizable by his red beard and by the ferocity that earned him the nickname. He is one of the earliest openly Jewish characters in American comics. After Rock himself, he is the most familiar face in Easy Company.
