Roger is a scheme-loving boy who uses elaborate plans recorded in his dodge books to avoid household chores and other responsibilities, a recurring character in the British comic The Beano, first appearing on April 18, 1953 and originally drawn by Ken Reid. Published by DC Thomson, his plots invariably go wrong and result in punishment from his long-suffering father. He has appeared in The Beano for over seven decades and is one of the longest-running characters in British comics.
