Smiffy is the absent-minded, good-natured pupil of the Bash Street Kids, one of the nine core students in Teacher's Class IIB at Bash Street School. His slow-wittedness and daydreaming put him at the center of the slapstick. Leo Baxendale created the strip in 1954.
