Spotty is one of the nine core pupils in the Bash Street Kids class in The Beano. Named for his spotted complexion, he is a regular participant in the class's slapstick misadventures at Bash Street School under the long-suffering Teacher. In 2021 the character was renamed Scotty within the strip to discourage use of a term that could be applied as an insult to others. The strip has appeared in The Beano since 1954.
