Plug is a member of the Bash Street Kids, the unruly school gang at the center of the long-running strip in The Beano, first appearing in Beano #604 in 1954, created by Leo Baxendale. Distinguished by his enormous front teeth, large ears, and generally unfortunate facial features, he is the most physically distinctive member of the gang. He headlined his own spin-off comic, Plug, which ran from 1977 to 1979.
