Description

Calvin is the protagonist of Bill Watterson's newspaper comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, which ran from 1985 to 1995. A precocious and imaginative six-year-old, he experiences the world through elaborate fantasies in which he casts himself as spaceman Spiff, a dinosaur, a private detective, and many other roles. His inner life and relationship with his stuffed tiger Hobbes form the emotional and comedic core of the strip.
