Lulu Moppett, known as Little Lulu, is a spunky young girl created by cartoonist Marjorie Henderson Buell (signing as Marge) and first appearing in The Saturday Evening Post on February 23, 1935. Originally a single-panel gag feature, the character transitioned to comic books beginning with Dell Comics' Four Color series before receiving her own title as Marge's Little Lulu in 1948. She became one of the most popular characters in American comics, with her stories later written and drawn by John Stanley.
