Sheena is a jungle heroine created by Will Eisner and Jerry Iger, orphaned in Africa and raised to rule the wild. She debuted in Wags magazine in 1938 and reached American readers that year in Jumbo Comics. She was the first female comics character to headline her own title, ahead of Wonder Woman.
