Guran

Guran is a character from The Phantom comic strip created by Lee Falk. He first appeared in "The Singh Brotherhood," the very first Phantom story in 1936.

Guran is the chief of the Bandar, a pygmy tribe that has protected the Phantom's secrets and served as his most trusted allies for generations. He is the Phantom's best friend since childhood, having grown up together in the Deep Woods of Bangalla. Guran serves as the tribe's medicine man, combining knowledge of ancient Bangallan remedies with modern western medicine.

Guran has saved the Phantom's life on multiple occasions through his medical knowledge and his willingness to fight alongside his friend against any threat. He is one of the few people who knows the full truth behind the Phantom legend. Guran has appeared continuously throughout the strip's long publishing history in newspapers and international comic books, particularly in the extensive Phantom comics produced in Scandinavia and Australia.
