Biography
Yoshihiro Takahashi is a Japanese manga artist from Akita Prefecture known for adventure stories featuring animals. His breakthrough work Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin, a manga following a young Akita puppy on a wilderness adventure, began serialization in 1984 and won the 1987 Shogakukan Manga Award for best shonen series. He continued the franchise with the sequel Ginga Densetsu Weed in 1999, which was later adapted into an anime.
