A Japanese manga artist best known for Assassination Classroom, a Weekly Shōnen Jump series that ran from 2012 to 2016 and surpassed 20 million copies in print. He made his professional debut with Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro in 2005, also serialized in Jump. His later work The Elusive Samurai ran in the same magazine from 2021 to 2026 and won the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award.
