Typeset refers to a typewriter and word processor lettering system used in comic book production as an alternative to hand lettering. Credits attributed to 'Typeset' in comics indicate machine-generated text output rather than work by a human letterer, and were common in certain production workflows during the latter decades of the twentieth century.
