Takashi Iwashige
Biography
Takashi Iwashige was a Japanese manga artist born in 1954 in Kagoshima who specialized in martial arts stories. His work was selected for the Newcomer Manga Award of Weekly Shonen Jump while he was still in high school in 1970. He is best known for the judo series Hanamaru Legend and won the 1986 Shogakukan Manga Award for Bokkemon. He died in March 2013 at age 58.
