Dan Parent is an American comic book artist and writer who joined Archie Comics in 1987 after graduating from the Joe Kubert School. He is best known for his long tenure writing and drawing titles including Cheryl Blossom and Betty & Veronica Spectacular. In 2010 he created Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in Archie Comics, a debut that sold out and earned him the 2013 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book.
