Biography
Reuben "Rube" Grossman was an American comic book artist and writer active from the 1940s through the 1950s. He began as an advertising illustrator and animator for Fleischer Studios before moving into funny animal comics for National Periodicals/DC Comics, drawing strips including Pinky and Winky, Peter Panda, Nutsy Squirrel, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. He took over art on The Three Mouseketeers from Sheldon Mayer and wrote and drew most of its run.
