Albert DeGuzman was a Filipino-American letterer who studied Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He joined DC Comics after the 1978 DC Implosion, working first as a restorer of older material before transitioning to lettering. He was a prolific hand-letterer for DC through the 1990s, working on titles including Batman and Superman, until DC moved to an all-digital workflow in 2003. He died in January 2022.
