Michael T. Gilbert is an American cartoonist and writer who has worked in comics since 1973. He created the horror comedy hero Mr. Monster in 1983, reviving a little known Golden Age character into a recurring satire of the genre. Mr. Monster has been published by Eclipse, Dark Horse, Tundra, Caliber, and Image. Gilbert also writes the comics history column Mr. Monster's Comic Crypt.
