Jon D'Agostino was an Italian-American comic book artist and letterer, born in 1929, who emigrated to the United States as a child. He began his career as head colorist at Timely Comics in the 1940s. Under the pseudonym Johnny Dee, he lettered the lead story in The Amazing Spider-Man No. 1. He became one of Archie Comics' most prominent artists, contributing to titles including Sonic the Hedgehog over several decades before his death in 2010.
