Carl Wessler
American comic book writer whose career spanned four decades, beginning as a 1930s Fleischer Studios animator before moving into comics. A staff writer for Atlas Comics through the 1950s, he also scripted horror and science fiction stories for EC's Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror, and Weird Science-Fantasy. In later years he wrote extensively for DC's mystery anthologies, plus work for Charlton, Harvey, and Warren's Creepy and Eerie.
