Hiroaki Samura
Hiroaki Samura is a Japanese manga artist best known for Blade of the Immortal, serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon from 1993 to 2012. Trained in classical art, he brought influences from Western engravers and Renaissance composition to his work. Blade of the Immortal won the Excellence Award at the first Japan Media Arts Festival in 1997 and has been adapted into two anime series.
