Biography
John M. Burns (1938-2023) was an English comic strip artist whose career began in the late 1950s. He took over the Modesty Blaise newspaper strip in the late 1970s and later became a longtime Judge Dredd artist for 2000 AD, starting with the 1991 story Garbage Disposal. He also co-created Nikolai Dante with writer Robbie Morrison, drawing the series from 1999 to 2012.
