Marvel collects the opening years of its Ultimate line reboot of Spider-Man in a single oversized hardcover. Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley rebuild Peter Parker from the beginning, a Midtown High student learning what his powers cost him at home and at school. The volume gathers Ultimate Spider-Man #1 through #39 along with the #1/2 story.

Early arcs bring modern takes on Norman Osborn, Wilson Fisk, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter and Venom, with Mary Jane Watson and Aunt May close to the center of Peter's life. Art Thibert inks the bulk of the run. The edition is case bound with a dust jacket and was offered with covers by Joe Quesada and Mark Bagley.
