Norman Osborn, certain that the Gathering of Five has granted him unlimited power, becomes the Green Goblin and goes after Spider-Man. He taunts Peter with the Osborn Journal, revealing he planted it months ago as a trap to expose Peter's identity and implicate him in Aunt May's death. When Peter forces his way through the Osborn estate, he discovers that Aunt May is alive and being held there: the woman who died was a genetically altered actress Norman hired and coached for the deception.
