Book One
After earning his release from the Suicide Squad, Christopher Smith tries to go straight as an ordinary superhero, though nobody, heroes and villains alike, thinks he's any good at it. A rescue mission introduces him to a dog he instantly falls for, giving him a kind of unconditional love he's never had. When the dog is stolen by a supervillain with plans for Peacemaker's particular brand of violence, Smith has to decide how far he'll go to get it back.
