The First Cut
The cola war between two feuding soda dynasties opens with a job. Dina Deluxe, a scientist at Popso, is close to perfecting a formula that keeps soda from going flat, a breakthrough that could sink the competition.
Rival company Fizz One learns of the work and sends Jon Pyle, its most reliable operative, to handle it. His orders are to recruit Dina or remove her. Neither side counts on what happens when the two actually meet.
