Virgin Comics was founded in 2006 by Richard Branson's Virgin Group with Deepak Chopra, Shekhar Kapur, Sharad Devarajan, Suresh Seetharaman, and Gotham Chopra, blending Western and South Asian mythology into new superhero comics. A 2008 management buyout renamed the company Liquid Comics.
