The Mekon is the recurring adversary of Dan Dare in the British Eagle comic strip, created by Frank Hampson. A green-skinned, large-headed genius from Venus, he was engineered to rule the roboticized Treen race from the city of Mekonta. His atrophied body confines him to a hover chair, and he pursues galactic domination through a constant stream of new super-weapons.
