Captain America (2025)

Steve Rogers returns as Captain America in this 2025 series written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Valerio Schiti. The run opens in the past, with Steve awakening from suspended animation to find the world transformed around him.

Covert operations have replaced open battles, and the line between hero and villain is harder to read. His first major challenge brings him to Latveria, where a young Victor Von Doom has seized control of the country. Steve must decide what kind of soldier he is willing to become in a world that no longer fights by his rules.

Back in the present day, Latveria remains a flashpoint. Doom has fallen, but the country is fracturing under competing factions, including insurgent leader Salvation and Nick Fury Jr.'s reconstituted S.H.I.E.L.D. Steve must navigate a coalition of uneasy allies, including the Latverian Liberators, to prevent the next catastrophe.
