Captain America Goes to War Against Drugs (1990)

Captain America Goes to War Against Drugs was an anti-drug giveaway comic series published by Marvel Comics in 1990 in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Issue #1 "High Heat" features Captain America helping a young baseball player named Mitch Baskin who has fallen under the influence of the alien Tzin and turned to illegal drugs. Written by Peter David with art by Sal Velluto.

Issue #2 "Druglords" features Captain America teaming up with the New Warriors (Night Thrasher, Nova, Namorita, Speedball, Justice, and Silhouette) to battle drug-themed villains. Written by George Caragonne with art by Colleen Doran.

Multiple versions were distributed through various sponsors including the FBI, New York State Association of Life Underwriters, Waldbaum's Foodmart, and other regional chains.
