Description
Marvel relaunched its flagship Spider-Man title in 2025 under writer Joe Kelly, with Pepe Larraz and John Romita Jr. splitting the early art duties. The volume keeps the legacy numbering of the original 1963 run, opening at Legacy #965.
Peter Parker begins this era out of work and out of luck, hunting for a job while a wave of amped-up villains tears through New York. A reformed, Goblin-free Norman Osborn is one of his few remaining allies, a fact that sits badly with nearly everyone around Peter.
The run threads street-level trouble through larger swings, including a cosmic detour that strands Spider-Man far from home and the sprawling Death Spiral crossover with Venom. New threats such as Hellgate and the killer Torment share the page with old foes like Rhino, Hobgoblin, and the Vulture.
Supporting players include Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, Black Cat, and the wider Spider-family as the title builds toward its one thousandth issue.
