Edge of Spider-Verse (2014)
The original 2014 anthology prelude to the Spider-Verse event, running five issues, each a standalone spotlight on a different spider-hero of the Marvel multiverse. Issue #2, by Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez, gives Gwen Stacy her first appearance as the Spider-Woman of Earth-65, better known as Spider-Gwen. Issue #5, by Gerard Way and Jake Wyatt, debuts Peni Parker and her SP//dr mech, while issue #1 by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Richard Isanove spotlights Spider-Man Noir. Both new heroes later became central to the animated Spider-Verse films.
