Marvel's annual Hellfire Gala returns as a giant-sized murder mystery. During Sebastian Shaw's masquerade, the Hellfire Club's Black King is killed inside his own mansion, and the estate seals every guest in until the culprit is found. Wolverine and Jubilee take the case, working a locked room where any attendee could be responsible.
The oversized one-shot is built as a jam issue, with segments from Saladin Ahmed, Gail Simone, Erica Schultz, Jed MacKay, and Eve L. Ewing, and art from a rotating team including Tony S. Daniel, Aaron Kuder, Cory Smith, Luciano Vecchio, Federica Mancin, and Joelle Jones. It closes out the current X-Men era and sets up what comes next for the Hellfire Club.
