Dawn (1995)

Dawn is a six-issue limited series created, written, and illustrated by Joseph Michael Linsner, published by Sirius Entertainment from 1995 to 1996. Set in a violent New York City, it follows Darrian Ashoka -- a young man without purpose or direction -- whose life is transformed by an encounter with Dawn, a mythological goddess of birth and rebirth. Her presence guides him down a dangerous path of self-discovery. Known for Linsner's richly painted artwork, the series established Dawn as one of the most distinctive figures in 1990s independent comics.
