Batman: Prey (Trade Paperback, 1992)
Batman: Prey collects the five part Prey storyline by writer Doug Moench and artist Paul Gulacy, first published in Legends of the Dark Knight #11 to #15 in 1990 and 1991. Set during Batman's early career, alongside the events of Year One, it pits a still unproven Batman against psychologist Hugo Strange. Strange becomes obsessed with unmasking Batman and turns public opinion and a police task force against him.
The story explores Batman as a controversial figure the city does not yet trust. It is one of the definitive early Hugo Strange stories and a key portrait of Batman's uneasy relationship with Gotham's authorities.
