How the Contribution & Approval System Works
What it is
VerseDB allows all registered users to contribute to the comic database by submitting edits to existing content. This includes everything from descriptions and dates to uploading images. Contributions are reviewed by admins — if approved, you earn XP.
Where you can contribute
You can submit edits on the following pages:
- Titles
- Series
- Issues
- Characters
- Creators
- Publishers
Just click the Edit Content button on any of those pages to get started.
How it works
- Click Edit Content on a supported entity
- Fill in or update the fields (name, description, images, etc.)
- Submit your changes
- Your submission is sent to the admin/moderator queue
- Admins review and either approve or reject the edit
If your submission is approved:
- Your edit will appear publicly on the page
- You’ll earn XP based on the type and complexity of the edit
- It will show up in your Recent Contributions section
If your submission is rejected:
- You won’t earn XP, but it will still be logged in your history
Tips & Troubleshooting
- You must be logged in to make edits
- Make sure your edits are accurate and detailed — this increases approval chances
- You can track all your pending, approved, and rejected edits under your XP/Contributions area
- Spam, false info, or low-effort edits may be rejected
> Note: All edits go through manual review to keep the VerseDB database high-quality and trustworthy.
