Levels, XP, and Role Progression

As you earn XP through contributions, you progress through user levels. Each level has a unique title that reflects your experience and commitment to the VerseDB community.

What Levels Unlock

Higher levels unlock abilities as you prove yourself as a trusted contributor:

Level Unlock
25 Auto-approval for filling empty fields — When you add new data to blank fields, your edit goes live immediately without waiting for review
Tip
Reach Level 25 to have your empty field edits auto-approved. This means when you fill in missing information (like a character's birthplace that was previously blank), it goes live right away.
Note
Edits to fields that already have values always go through moderation, regardless of your level. This ensures corrections and changes to existing data are reviewed for accuracy.

What Levels Represent

  • Recognition — Your level displays on your profile for others to see
  • Experience — Higher levels show consistent, quality contributions
  • Trust — Auto-approval for empty fields shows the system trusts your new data
  • Community standing — Active contributors earn respect through their level

Roles Beyond Levels

Some roles are based on community needs rather than just XP:

**Moderator**: Help review other users' contributions (by invitation) **Admin**: Site administration (by invitation only)

These roles are based on contribution quality, community behavior, and site needs.
