Levels, XP, and Role Progression

What it is

VerseDB uses a leveling system to reward contributors and recognize their impact. As you earn XP from approved edits, your level increases — showing your growth and unlocking new roles within the community.

How it works

  • XP is earned by submitting quality edits that get approved
  • Your total XP determines your current level
  • The more XP you earn, the higher your level
  • Leveling is fully automated — no manual promotion needed

Example Progression

  • Level 1: Brand new user
  • Level 10: Active contributor
  • Level 50: Highly trusted editor
  • Level 100: Max level — elite status!

> Level 100 is the current max level. More rewards may unlock as you level up.

Role Unlocks (Optional)

If enabled, certain levels can unlock community roles or permissions such as:

  • Contributor badges
  • Trusted editing privileges
  • Special visibility or rewards (Pro-only features, early access, etc.)

> Roles and rewards may evolve as VerseDB grows — keep an eye on announcements.

Where to track your level

You can view your current level and XP progress on your Dashboard, right at the top. You’ll also see a list of your recent contributions that helped you level up.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • You don’t lose XP if a future edit gets rejected
  • Your level is public — it’s part of your contributor profile
  • Want to level up faster? Focus on accurate, high-quality edits with images or detail
  • If your level looks off, try refreshing your dashboard or waiting for recent XP to process
