Levels, XP, and Role Progression
What it is
VerseDB uses a leveling system to reward contributors and recognize their impact. As you earn XP from approved edits, your level increases — showing your growth and unlocking new roles within the community.
How it works
- XP is earned by submitting quality edits that get approved
- Your total XP determines your current level
- The more XP you earn, the higher your level
- Leveling is fully automated — no manual promotion needed
Example Progression
- Level 1: Brand new user
- Level 10: Active contributor
- Level 50: Highly trusted editor
- Level 100: Max level — elite status!
> Level 100 is the current max level. More rewards may unlock as you level up.
Role Unlocks (Optional)
If enabled, certain levels can unlock community roles or permissions such as:
- Contributor badges
- Trusted editing privileges
- Special visibility or rewards (Pro-only features, early access, etc.)
> Roles and rewards may evolve as VerseDB grows — keep an eye on announcements.
Where to track your level
You can view your current level and XP progress on your Dashboard, right at the top. You’ll also see a list of your recent contributions that helped you level up.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- You don’t lose XP if a future edit gets rejected
- Your level is public — it’s part of your contributor profile
- Want to level up faster? Focus on accurate, high-quality edits with images or detail
- If your level looks off, try refreshing your dashboard or waiting for recent XP to process
