Sorry to see you go. Deleting your VerseDB account closes it straight away, and it is permanently deleted 24 hours later. Before you start, open Import / Export from the sidebar and download your collection, pull list, and other data — you won't be able to retrieve it afterward.
What Happens#
Your collection, pull list, wishlist, reading progress, reviews, ratings, account settings, API tokens, and integrations are all permanently deleted.
Edits you submitted to comics, characters, creators, and other database entries are kept for data quality — your name is removed from them.
The Process#
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Request | Go to versedb.com/account/delete and confirm with your password (if you signed in with Discord, no password is required) |
| 2. Confirm | Click the email confirmation link (valid 24 hours). Your account closes the moment you do — you are signed out and it stops working. |
| 3. Restore (optional) | Sign in during the next 24 hours and you will land on a restore screen. Restoring brings your account back exactly as it was. |
| 4. Deletion | 24 hours after you confirmed, your account and data are permanently deleted. This runs automatically. |
If you restore your account, you cannot request deletion again for another 24 hours.
PRO subscriptions#
A PRO subscription paid by card on the website is cancelled for you. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that subscription is billed by the store and only you can cancel it there — deleting your VerseDB account does not stop it. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings before you delete your account.
Having issues or questions before deleting? Email [email protected] — we're happy to help.
