How to Use the Search Bar Effectively

The search bar at the top of every page jumps to series, issues, creators, characters, and public lists. Start typing and results appear instantly, grouped by type.

Click the search bar and type. Results are split into tabs:

  • Series — comic runs and volumes
  • Issues — individual comics
  • Creators — writers, artists, and other contributors
  • Characters — heroes, villains, and everyone in between
  • Lists — public user lists

Note

Quick search uses your content preferences as a ranking signal, not a filter — everything is visible. If manga, manhwa, or other mediums don't surface, adjust your medium preferences in account settings or use the dedicated Series Search.

Click a result to open it, or click View all in Advanced Search at the bottom of a tab to open the dedicated search page with full filters.

Advanced Search Pages#

Each dedicated search page adds filters and sort options.

Filter by publisher, creators, characters, publication type, status, year range, and medium. Sort by featured, recently added, most issues, or highest rated. Toggle Hide unreleased to include or exclude upcoming series.

Filter by characters, publishers, series, titles, and release date range. Unreleased issues are hidden by default.

Note

Selecting multiple characters uses AND logic — issues must feature every selected character, not just one.

Characters#

Filter by publisher or character role. Sort by most appearances, name, recently updated, or featured.

Creators#

Filter by role (writer, artist, colorist, etc.). Sort by featured, recently added, or name.

Tips#

  • Use full names ("Spider-Man", not "Spider")
  • Try the dedicated pages when you need filters
  • Adjust your medium preferences in account settings if manga or manhwa don't surface
  • Expect publishers, story arcs, or teams in quick search — they have their own browse pages
  • Give up after one search attempt
