Gen 13 is a Wildstorm superhero team created by Jim Lee, Brandon Choi, and J. Scott Campbell, debuting in 1994. The group is made up of young superhumans, the children of members of the covert unit Team 7, whose latent powers are activated through a secret genetic program. Escaping the project that created them, the teens band together as a surrogate family. Core members include Caitlin Fairchild, Grunge, Freefall, Burnout, and Rainmaker. The book paired superheroics with youthful humor and became one of the signature titles of the 1990s Image era.
