Annihilators
The Annihilators are a cosmic strike team assembled by Gladiator of the Shi'ar Empire to police the universe's biggest threats after the Annihilation Wave and the Thanos Imperative, first banding together in the Annihilators (2011) miniseries by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. The founding roster pairs Quasar, Beta Ray Bill, and Ronan the Accuser with cosmic-adjacent Avengers Gladiator and the Silver Surfer, unified less by charter than by raw power and a shared willingness to end galaxy-level problems before they reach Earth. Formed in the wake of two of Marvel's biggest cosmic crossovers, the team functions as the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe's answer to the Avengers, stepping in wherever a threat outscales any single hero or planet-bound team.
