The Titans are the adult continuation of the Teen Titans, formed as former sidekicks and young heroes aged into their own careers as headline heroes. Founding-era rosters have centered on Dick Grayson as Nightwing alongside longtime teammates such as Donna Troy, Wally West as the Flash, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Roy Harper, with membership expanding over various series to include Tempest, Jesse Quick, Damage, and Argent among others. Rather than a training ground, the team operates as a senior, battle-tested unit that reunites its members whenever a threat outstrips what any one hero -- or the current Teen Titans lineup -- can handle. In later years, veteran Titans have also taken on mentorship roles, guiding new generations of young heroes much as they themselves were once guided.
