Inferior Five
The Inferior Five are a DC parody team created by E. Nelson Bridwell and Joe Orlando, debuting in Showcase #62 (1966). Playing off editor Jack Miller's idea to spoof the Fantastic Four, Bridwell instead built the group around the bumbling, underpowered children of the retired Freedom Brigade -- DC's own Justice League stand-ins -- turning superhero-team conventions into a running joke.
